Phil's and Rick's arrival in Monapo was the first flight into the area in two months. Aside from the 200 lbs. of medical supplies they brought with them, the pilots delivered engine parts for one of the mission station's Jeeps, cooking spices, and an assortment of other requested items. Pictured here are the mission station manager (blue shirt), the medical clinic director (blue shirt, cap, in front), and the pastor of the first church established in the area. Rick is holding an orphaned Mozambican baby girl who was adopted by one of the mission station families.
