Muapula is one of the most remote mission stations served by MAF South Africa pilot-missionaries. Flying time to the mission station is measured in days, not hours. The missionaries stationed here are totally isolated from the outside world except for contact by short-wave radio, a week-long trip in a Land Rover, or the arrival of MAF aircraft.
