Rick's son, Aaron, snapped this photo' of his dad working in the MAFC Three Hills office in mid-August, 2002. Rick's duties as an MAFC Recruitment Officer included representing the mission at local church mission conferences, national mission fests, and international missions events such as the annual Missions Fest in Vancouver, British Columbia which attracts hundreds of exhibitors and 100,000+ attendees. Rick spent much of every month on the road or in the air travelling across Canada meeting with MAFC missionary candidates. Also, 3-4 times a year Rick would participate in the flight evaluation of MAFC pilot hopefuls.
