Rick included this scan of his commercial pilot license as a tribute to all those who helped him attain his goal of serving the Lord as a mission aviator. If it wasn't for the prayer and financial support of fellow Believers, particularly the congregation of his home church, The Evangelical Church of Bermuda, Rick would never have been able to complete his training. Over the course of three years Rick translated his Private Pilot license into a commercial pilot license with IFR rating, and then added on a Class I Flight Instructor rating. A motor vehicle accident in October 2002 ended Rick's aviation career. Though not on his short list of things he'd like to accomplish, Rick holds onto the thought that one day he'll be able to pass a flight medical examination which would allow him to once again take to the air.
